Sail for Gold 2011 - Success for RSGYC 49er Sailors!

Sail for Gold was held in Weymouth, the Olympic venue for 2012, over the weekend of the 11th and 12th June. Congratulations to Club Member, Ed Butler who came 7th in the Silver Fleet in the 49er Class.
Ed Butler was sailing with NYC's Ben Lynch and they came 32nd overall and 7th in the silver fleet which is their best result by far to date in their Olympic campaign. Well done!
Annalise Murphy of the NYC also won a Bronze medal in the Laser Radial Class. This fantastic result was built on 5 firsts in a series of challenging races.
