ICRA 2010
Welcome Note
On behalf of the Members fo the RSGYC, I look forward to welcoming all our ICRA visitors whether from overseas, from all parts of Ireland or indeed from our sister Clubs in Dublin.
Cruiser Racing is at the very core of our sport of Sailing, whether you are racing in a state of the art Class Zero, or like myself, enjoying the action among the Whilte Sail fleet trying to best your peers. We are grateful that ICRA has chosen to have the “George” run its Nationals in 2010 and are focused on delivering you an event to remember. We applaud ICRA and the structure it has provided to cruiser racing in Ireland, that has made cruiser racing both better and fairer for all.
During the Liebherr Cruiser Nationals 2010 we are committed to providing you with top class race management, everything from Race Officers to Results, with all the requirements and resources that go on in between to ensure that the “On the Water Activity” is as good as the conditions permit. With so many of you involved in campaigning your boats at a limited number of events, and with a Commodores Cup to aim for, we know that successful events are all about delivering great racing for all participants.
The shoreside facilities of our Club are at your disposal throughout the event, and we will ensure that the bar and food offerings provided are of a high quality at a value for money price - we do live in tough times! Please do look at the website closer to the event for details of the superb social & dining offerings which are being planned.
I hope to see you on the water over the 3 days of the event, and wish you great racing at the Liebherr Cruiser Nationals 2010 in the RSGYC.
Patrick Blaney, Commodore
