JUNIOR SPRING SAILING 2010
SUMMARY
Based on the success of the Autumn coaching, Summer programme and a whole host of other junior sailing activities, the Club will be continuing to offer training and racing over the rest of the winter and spring.
We have a fabulous set of coaches lined up and the coaching will build on last year's successful Winter Coaching. Some of our leading coaches have recently and successfully completed specialist Race Coach training in the Plas Menai centre in Wales so well done to them. This is intended to enhance the coaching techniques and methods by which we can give our juniors the very best opportunity to excel and to be as good they want to be. Although we have not had the opportunity yet, our intention remains to occasionally bring in a top coach from the world of sailing to offer greater depth and to generally create an increased buzz in the club. Coaches will be focussing on both practical and theoretical training with the emphasis on improving boat handling and racing skills and above all fun.
Courses will begin at 10:00 (briefing will begin at 10:00 so please have the boats ready and children changed for sailing) and run until about 16:30. In the event of bad weather we will use the time for sailing related shore based activity. Parking is included in the price and you will be issued with a parking sticker for this period ONLY.
All children are welcome.
