Important RSGYC CraftInsure Spring Open Arrival Information
Thank you for your entry to the RSGYC CraftInsure Spring Open. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the ‘George’ and indeed a fun packed weekend of racing and sailing.

Entries to date:
Currently we have a combined entry of 102 boats. Entry closes on Friday at 5pm.
All boats arriving should go directly to the Carlisle Pier where they will be securely stored. The Carlisle Pier is next door to the RSGYC on the East Side of the front of the Club, in between the RSGYC and the Lifeboat station.
When you arrive please only go to this area.
There is a gate and a long pier with boats on hard standing on the right as you go down the Pier, all competing boats will be stored on the left- hand side on launching trolleys only.
There will be helpers on hand to assist and advise- identifiable in High- Vis jackets.
Road Trailers are to be stored at the very end of the Carlisle Pier, past the second set of gates.
All boats will rig & de- rig on the Carlisle Pier.
All boats will be launching from the RSGYC slipway at the time allocated by the event Slipmaster. Access to the RSGYC Slipway is through a gate and down a ramp (under the big crane). Please note that there will be a tagging system in place, competitors not tagged will not be allowed onto the water.
There will be a team to assist with the retrieval of boats and trailers.
Support Ribs are very welcome. They must be launched from the public slipway in the Dun Laoghaire Coal Harbour only. Road trailers can then be stored at the end of the Carlisle Pier for the duration of the event.
Support Ribs are most welcome to avail of the mooring pontoons directly in front of the RSGYC Club House overnight and for the duration of the event.
Friday March 16th from 18:00hrs to 20:00hrs
Saturday March 17th from 08:30hrs to 09:30hrs
This will take place in the Junior Room of the RSGYC which is downstairs.
Briefings will be held from 09:30 on Sat 17th on the forecourt.
The Club coffee shop will be open with the Chef’s renowned freshly baked family recipe scones along with fresh coffee and teas each morning. Soup, Sandwiches and rugby will be available in the Club Bar from 12pm on Saturday. Sunday Lunches will be available from 12pm on Sunday.
After Sailing Sailors Food Special:
There will be a special pasta dish at the ready for all hungry sailors when they come off the water. Cost €5.50. Please advise at registration time if your sailors will be eating.
Live rugby will be available on a number of flat screens throughout the Club and the Big Screen in the bar for the Ireland v England game. The Drink Special for the Ireland game will be three pints or three glasses of wine for €10 plus free bar snacks at half time!
