The Irish Optimist National Championships 2010 - Team George Junior is victorious!

The Irish Optimist National Championships were held at the Waterford Harbour Yacht Club, Dunmore East, Co. Waterford from 17th to Saturday 21st August 2010 inclusive. Congratulations to Toby Hudson-Fowler who was the Overall Winner in the Regatta Fleet.
This was the biggest one-design sailing event in Ireland this year, with more than 200 Optimists arriving in Dunmore East for a week of competitive racing and a host of social activities on land. An international fleet of 150 boats battled it out for the senior titles, while more than 50 competed in the regatta fleet.
Entries from Finland, India, Bermuda, Spain, England and Scotland added to the Irish contingent, making this a truly cosmopolitan affair.
Fleets were arranged by age into Senior (13-15 years) and Junior (up to 12 years) plus a Regatta Fleet for less experienced sailors of any age.
Congratulations to Toby Hudson-Fowler who was the Overall Winner in the Regatta Fleet.
