BEAT THE WINTER BLUES

If you fancy a bit of sunshine this winter then the Bitter End Team Race Invitational 2010 could be the answer. The George has been invited to enter two teams in this fun-filled, sun-filled event hosted by the New York Yacht Club in November this year. The event takes place at the Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda in the beautiful Caribbean from the 6th - 13th November. Teams will be made up of 12 people and racing will be in 24 foot keelboats with the emphasis on relaxing and enjoying the sunshine! The entry fee of €1300 per person includes luxury beachside accommodation, all your meals, regatta parties, racing and the use of all the other facilities the Bitter End Yacht Club has to offer including windsurfing, snorkeling and dinghy sailing. Flights will be extra so this is an event that requires a bit of forward planning. This is an ideal event for anyone who loves sailing and loves sunshine! Newcomers to team racing are especially welcome. Anyone who's interested, get the gang together and let Carol in the sailing office know by the 8th February as deposits have to be paid to the New York Yacht Club by the 19th February. Depending on the level of interest we hope to be able to put together at least one team to fly the flag for the George at this fantastic event!
