Squibs National Championships 2010

Squibs National Championships 2010

18 June 2010

We at the Royal St George Yacht Club are delighted to have been selected by the Squib Class to host the 2010 Championship in June this year.

On Now! For further information and results please visit the Squibs 2010 website: http://www.rsgyc.ie/squibs2010/

The Royal St George has seen the recent growth in the popularity of the Squib as well as its long and successful history. It is aware of the reputation of the Class for excellent sailing, combined with a consistent ability to turn any event into one continuous party and this is what we are setting out to do.

Many of you will have sailed in Howth when the Championships were last held in the Dublin region 4 years ago. No doubt some of you will have come to Dun Laoghaire and seen what Dublin Bay can offer. Those of us who live and sail here know the beauty of the bay, the many and varied sailing waters, the vagaries of the tides, the whoosh from the river, shallow waters in places, rocks in others - in all conditions that will test the best - and of course the weather too.

We believe Dun Laoghaire, both on and off the water, is a wonderful venue to make Squibs 2010 a memorable event. We hope that you will find that too when you join us from the 18th to the 25th June. To assist there will be special deals with ferry operators & accommodation, all of which will be posted on the website (http://www.rsgyc.ie/squibs2010/) in due course.

With best wishes,

Ian Roberts, Event Manager, Royal St George Yacht Club
