ISA NATIONAL MATCH RACE CHAMPIONSHIP 2009

Congratulations to John Sheehy and crew who were victorious!
The ISA Match Race Nationals 2009 hosted by Kinsale Yacht Club were sailed over the weekend of October 24-26. This is an ISAF Grade 3 Match Race and skippers gain ranking points for places on the World Match Race Ranking ladder. The twelve teams each sailed eleven races in a full Round Robin of sixty-six races.
And George Members were to the fore...
Congratulations to the race winners, John Sheehy and his crew Paddy Kirwan, Nick Smyth and Marty O'Leary.
The George was also represented by Andrew Fowler who finished in fourth, Prof O'Connell in fifth and Ger Owens in seventh. Well done!
