The Club’s spacious Balcony overlooking Dublin Bay is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet lunch, a post-sailing drink or a chilled glass of bubbly before proceeding into dinner.
The Quarterdeck
The Heart of Sailing Activity
Whether you sail or not, take a moment to enjoy the activity and buzz of the The Quarterdeck in the summer - there's nothing that says the Royal St. George is a 'Yacht Club' more!
Located between the two piers on Dun Laoghaire's waterfront, with magnificent views across Dublin Bay, the The Quarterdeck is the place to be when the weather is warm. It's also the place to be during the Sailing Season, whether it's for a post-sailing energising burger or a pint with your friends and fellow Members or, indeed, both!
Reading Room
Echoing an Era of Times Past
This historic room houses shelves of nautical literary treasures, antique furnishings, elegant crystal chandeliers and large sash windows gazing out across Dublin Bay.
The Reading Room, with its wonderful nautical library, is reserved for Members only. This Room truly is an oasis of peace where Members can sink into large armchairs to read the newspapers and periodicals or view the goings-on in the harbour and across the bay through the tripod binoculars.
The Reading Room is also very popular as a private dining room for Members, where up to 30 people can be hosted in style, comfort and pure elegance.
Billiard Room
Fancy a Game?
The Billiard Room is the scene of many internal and inter-club competitions as well as many a casual game.
The Billiard Room - more commonly known as the Snooker Room these days - has preserved its historic appearance and ambience thanks to its high vaulted timber ceiling and beautifully kept table.

An Informal and Intimate Shoreline Setting
The perfect place to wind down the week!
The Club Room is an intriguing conversion of the old vaulted boathouse and is used for a huge range of Club activities. These activities include junior discos, keep-fit, bridge, quiz nights, private parties and sailing suppers every Thursday during the sailing season. The Club Room is also the venue for the very popular Boathouse Bistro every Friday from 6pm, with a two course Early Bird Menu for only €20 available until 7.30pm.
Informal Bar
The Hub of Daily Club Activity
The Informal Bar opens onto the balcony with magnificent views of Dun Laoghaire Harbour and Dublin Bay.
The Formal Bar is the hub of Club life with lunch and bar service available from Monday to Saturday. With its comfortable and elegant surroundings, this is the perfect place to meet and greet sailors and non-sailors and to enjoy a sporting event on the large television or to enjoy a pre-dinner drink.

An Oasis of Calm
The perfect place to meet up with your friends, family and fellow Members.
This spacious and elegant room, which opens onto the Club's sweeping balcony, provides comfortable bar seating during the day, and in the evening provides an anteroom where dining Members can enjoy an aperitif or after dinner coffee.
Lunch is served in the Formal Bar during the week - Tuesday to Friday inclusive - from 12.30pm to 2.30pm.
Dining Room
Extra Ordinary Events deserve this Extraordinary Venue
The Dining Room is the venue for many of the Club's social events, including Members’ functions such as weddings and birthday parties.
Private Functions
This large and gracious room with its concave ceiling and curved bay window is a focus for formal and informal dining in the Club. It offers an 'A La Carte' lunch and dinner on Fridays, Sunday Family Lunches and monthy Members' Dinners. Sailing suppers are served during the sailing season on Tuesdays and Thursdays in a more informal atmosphere in this Dining Room.
This most exquisite venue is also the perfect choice for your private functions; weddings, work parties, birthday celebrations and more can all be professionally catered for in your Club's Dining Room.
