  • St. George’s Day Dinner 2012

    Commodore presents the Jameson Trophy to Don O'Dowd in recognition of his generous contributions to sailing events in the Club.

    The Club's Annual St. George's Day Dinner took place on Saturday, 21st April; a wonderful occasion when trophies are awarded and Members & Guests, including Commodores from our fellow Clubs, join together to celebrate all that is great about the Royal St. George Yacht Club. VIEW PHOTOS

  • Fashion Show Lunch in aid of Action Breast Cancer

    18 April

    On the 18th April 2012, the Club was abuzz with over 120 Ladies as they gathered for a very fashionable charity lunch featuring Guest Speaker and TV3's Off The Rails, Barbara McMahon and our very own 'George' Lady Models dressed in the season's finest by local Dun Laoghaire boutiques. Thanks to the generous support from the Ladies and a Charity Raffle, a grand total of €4,035 was raised for Action Breast Cancer. VIEW PHOTOS

  • Classic Car & Bike Fun Run

    01 April

    On Sunday, 1st April 2012 the Club was delighted to host its third annual Classic Car & Bike Fun Run. With blue skies & warm (ish!) weather, over 60 cars and 100 participants enjoyed a scenic tour in Wicklow followed by lunch in the Dining Room of the Royal St. George Yacht Club. Date for the Diary: There will be another Classic Car & Bike Fun Run during the Four Star Pizza ISAF Youth Worlds on Sunday, 15th July 2012. VIEW PHOTOS

  • Christy Massey’s Farewell Dinner

    30 March

    After almost 50 years of loyal services, Members gathered in the Club on Friday, 30th March to bid a fond farewell to renowned Club Bar Man Christy Massey. It was a wonderful evening, which began with a Drinks Reception in the Formal Bar and was followed by dinner in Dining Room and dancing into the early morning to the music provided by Club Members’ Band ‘The Nuts’.   • Midsummer Hawaiian Night 2011

    On the 6th August 2011, the rain poured down but the Midsummer Hawaiian Night prevailed with over 100 Members, friends and fellow sailors descending on the Club for a night of cocktails, a tropical BBQ and limbo dancing! VIEW PHOTOS

    The Salsa Ladies were back with a bang!

    Wow! What a wonderful four days! From the Mick Walsh Band to the Fire Eaters, the Royal St. George Yacht Club was in full on party mode from early morning to, well, early morning throughout the Regatta!     On the 29th April, over 60 Ladies - and some Gentlemen - gathered in the Club's Dining Room in their Royal Finery to watch the biggest wedding of the year! A Champagne toast was enjoyed by all when they were announced man & wife. VIEW PHOTOS

  • Classic Car & Bike Fun Run 2011

    17 April

    The second Annual Classic Car and Bike Fun Run on the 17th April was another unqualified success. Everything worked on schedule. Over fifty cars and four bikes completed the route which included Enniskerry and Ashford and the main street in Bray and Little Bray, amongst other places. The views were excellent as the weather was perfect. No excuses for not going topless. The colour of the sea from the Vico Road had to be seen to be believed. We were looked after like royalty at the Club and had an excellent late lunch for over eighty people. Michael Buckley, Event Champion VIEW PHOTOS

  • George’s Day Dinner 2011

    Due to Easter, the George's Day Dinner was held the week before St. George's Day on the 16th April but it was still a wonderful evening and greatly enjoyed by all in attendance. The George's Day Dinner is also the annual occasion when all the Club Trophies are presented to Members who have excelled both on and off the water. VIEW PHOTOS

  • Royal St. George Yacht Club

    Built by 1843, the Royal St George Yacht Club's Clubhouse is a beautiful and historic building designed in the style of a palladian villa. In 2008, it was given a very contemporary addition on the lower lever; clad in distinctive copper, this extension is connected to the original Club by a glass-covered atrium. VIEW PHOTOS

  • Spinnaker Ball 2010

    09 October

    On the 9th October 2010, the inaugural Spinnaker Ball took place in the Club and was a roaring success. Attended by 125 Members, friends and fellow Dublin Bay sailors, there wasn't a sole that didn't, at some stage, grace the dance floor and the party lasted long into the early hours. VIEW PHOTOS

    On the 1st October, the Royal St George warmly welcomed many of its newest Members to the Club with a Drinks Reception followed by a delicious dinner in the Dining Room. VIEW PHOTOS

    The RSGYC Photo Competition was resurrected this year with terrific success! With over 168 entries in six categories, the competition was stiff but congratulations to the winners who all walked away with wonderful prizes thanks to the sponsors Venture Photography Ireland. VIEW PHOTOS
