Congratulations to all RSGYC Sailors who participated, especially to our podium placers Conor O’Beirne, Matty O’Dowd, Sean Craig, and Ross O’Leary.
The sunny south-east lived up to its reputation last weekend for the Laser Leinster Championship. After a light and misty start on Saturday morning, the breeze filled in and the sun came out for a glorious afternoon sailing in Wexford Harbour. The wind continued to pick up on Sunday with a strong south-easterly with gust up to 27 knots, forcing a premature end to the event at lunchtime.
The RSGYC was well-represented racking up the following four podium positions:
- Conor O’Beirne- 1st Laser 4.7
- Matty O’Dowd – 2nd Standard
- Sean Craig – 1st Master
- Ross O’Leary – 3rd Master
