Dear Waterfront Club/Business,
My name is Catherine Harris. I am the Chairperson of Dun Laoghaire Tidy Towns.
We have been contacted by Clean Coasts who are organising a Big Beach Clean from
Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd of September 2024.
Dun Laoghaire Tidy Towns have registered to join in on Saturday 21st September from
10:30 to 12:30.
We are getting in touch with you to see if you would be interested in collaborating with
us.
DLTT will be litter picking from the West Pier to the East Pier as close to the waterfront
as we can. This is where we need your help. We would like to get some small craft to
move along the seaward side, to remove any litter or debris from the shoreline. We
hope to get all waterfront clubs and businesses involved so that they can attend to the
stretch of shoreline in the vicinity of their area.
Ideally, if we did this at the same time, it would be a great way of demonstrating our
collective commitment in keeping Dun Laoghaire’s shoreline clean and litter free, not to
mention a good photo opportunity!
