All Ireland Junior Championship 29^th/30^th September

Top helms nominated by qualifying classes will compete for the title of All Ireland Junior Champion.

This year the event will be held in Fireflies in the Royal St George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire.

Irish Sailing All Ireland Junior Sailing Championship 2018

The President and Board of Irish Sailing are pleased to invite your Class Association to make nominations for the Irish Sailing Junior All Ireland Sailing Championships 2018.

Pre-event
Closing date for class nominations	1200hrs 4th of September
Nominations meeting	1700hrs 4th of September
Entry forms go out to successful nominees and their classes	1700hrs 6th of September
Closing date for entry forms	1200hrs 13th of September
Confirmation of success of entry	1700hrs 14th of September

1. Racing dates: All Ireland Junior Sailing Championship on 29^th and 30^th of September 2018 on Fireflies at Royal St. George Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
2. The nomination and selection of invitees is in accordance with the Notice of Race published on the Irish Sailing website and will be overseen by a Steering Group appointed by the Board of Irish Sailing.
3. Classes are invited to nominate up to three nominees. When a national championship has not been completed by the Closing Date for nominations then a class ranking on that date may be used. Nominations will be only accepted from classes whose affiliation fee is paid for 2018.
4. Class associations are also invited to suggest candidates for a Wild Card place; these would be members who have excelled at an International competition in the class during the year.
5. The age limit for the Junior Sailing Championships is under 19 years of age by 31^st of December 2018. Please find attached the Notice of Race for the Junior Championship 2018.

7. Please also send your Nationals results when completing your nomination form to me at sl.rossiter@sailing.ie This needs to be done before 1200hrs on the 4^th of September.

1. Competitors will be selected only from nominations received on time. The Irish Sailing policy of a National or International Race Officer managing racing at a class’s national championship will be strictly applied. Nominations will not be considered without accompanying National Championship results.

In some cases we may not have the current class committee details, if you are not dealing with this for the class please let me know by return and forward to the person responsible for nominations.
