After Improving Skills, the courses separate into Kites and Wires, Go Racing, Advanced Boat Handling and Adventure modules as outlined below.

As most sailors will have completed a number of courses by the time they reach this level we have decided to take a slightly different approach to advanced courses.
Course A and C will offer the ISA prescribed Advanced levels, whilst course B and D will take a week by week approach with a broader curriculum including class clinics and other special events.

Kites & Wires*

Introducing the use of the trapeze and spinnaker for fast, thrills and spills sailing. Emphasis is on Boat Speed and Handling. Note that sailors need to have access to a boat with BOTH trapeze and spinnaker.

Go Racing

An Introduction to Racing in all its forms. This course aims to equip sailors with the skills to experience the buzz of competing at regional and national level. Sailing is carried out in a wide variety of boats and across several types of sailing; this includes Team, Match, and Fleet Racing. We also hope to offer a night race/offshore experience as part of this course.

Racing available all summer

Adventure Will be available in course C and D

* Kites and Wires and Go Racing Courses will incorporate the Advanced Boat Handling syllabus.

Adventure Sailing

Take sailing further with our Adventure courses. Designed to allow sailors to explore our coastline and take them beyond the confines of Dublin Bay. Last year, we set off to Ireland’s Eye and we are hoping to go even further this year, with Yacht and multiple overnight dinghy trips.

Adventure Sailing will be available in Courses C and D.
