It is that time of year again when our youngest sailors get back out on the water to enjoy another fun-filled Summer Program.
Our youngest groups, starting from 5 years old. No experience is required to join this group. This group sail in the Club Mirrors with our instructors. The aim of this group is to build confidence in and around the water. Sea Squirts sail from 9:30 am – 14:30 pm only.
Are our more experienced group and go up to 10 years old. These sailors will use their own Optimists or a rented club Optimist. Often sailors will share a boat with another Sea Tiger. The aim of this group is to learn the basics of sailing in an informal way. Sea Tigers sail from 9:30am – 16:30pm.
* Please note if your child/children completed the Tigers course last year, they can be booked onto our Junior Summer Sailing courses under the ‘Start Sailing’ module (level). This link you can find on our website on our drop down bar under Juniors, then select Junior Summer Courses.
Sailors that have completed or tried Sea Squirts & Tigers last year as guests of the RSGYC must become Club members to partake in any courses this year. RSGYC courses are available to Club members only. Guests of Club members are encouraged to try a course, or some sessions to see if their sailors like sailing and the club.
