RSGYC Powerboat Training Course Information

Why do an Irish Sailing Training Course?

An Irish Sailing training course provides the ideal way to get afloat for the first time, or to build on skills you already have. All courses are run to a syllabus used all over Ireland and will be lead by a trained and qualified Irish Sailing Instructor. Each course is carefully designed to provide you with all of the skills and confidence you need to get you out on the water and to get the most out of your boating.

Powerboat Training…. is it for me?

You wish to build on your powerboat knowledge, gain some confidence on the water while also having an enjoyable and rewarding few days training or:

Maybe you want to learn how to safely drive a Rib or similar powerboat or:

You want to participate in race management or safety boat activities.

If so you should seriously consider taking a Powerboat Course at the George this season.

What course should I consider?

Our most popular course  is the Irish Sailing syllabus Powerboat II course (National Powerboat Certificate). This course will formally teach you the fundamentals in the safe operation of a powerboat, its preparation and allied aspects, while helping you to build your confidence on the water and get the most from your Rib or powerboat in a safe and comfortable manner.
