  • Junior & Youth Summer Team Racing Camps Details TBC
  • Junior & Youth Summer Class Training and Clinics Details TBC

After Improving Skills, the courses separate into Kites and Wires, Go Racing, Advanced Boat Handling and Adventure modules as outlined below.

As most sailors will have completed a number of courses by the time they reach this level we have decided to take a slightly different approach to advanced courses.

Kites & Wires*

Introducing the use of the trapeze and spinnaker for fast, thrills and spills sailing. Emphasis is on Boat Speed and Handling. *Note that sailors need to have access to a boat with BOTH trapeze and spinnaker. The RSGYC has no suitable boats available for this course but may be able to assist with helping find one for the duration of the course. Please call the Sailing Office.

Start Racing

An Introduction to Racing in all its forms. This course aims to equip sailors with the skills to experience the buzz of competing at regional and national level. Sailing is carried out in a wide variety of boats and across several types of sailing; this includes Team, Match, and Fleet Racing. We also hope to offer a night race/offshore experience as part of this course.

Start Racing available all summer

Adventure Skills

Take sailing further with our Adventure courses. Designed to allow sailors to explore our coastline and take them beyond the confines of Dublin Bay. Last year, we set off to Ireland’s Eye and we are hoping to go even further this year, with Yacht and multiple overnight dinghy trips.
