The 2016 Sailability season got off to a flying start last Sunday, 19th June. 24 children turned on Sunday morning at the George

3 sailors were coached by Rosy Gibbons in the 2 newly acquired 2.4m singlehanded boats plus the ISA boat. All the others got out in the 6 Hansa dinghies and everyone including parents and siblings enjoyed coffee and scones on the terrace under the umbrellas  as it was pouring with rain.

In the afternoon, the inaugural session of the adult course for adults with physical and sensorial disability was held under the leadership of Alain Deladiennee. 3 people attended and were taken out in a 2.4m a Hansa and a cruiser kindly provide by Kevin Conlon. All enjoyed the outing and are looking forward to the next 3 Sundays.

More adults are expected next week as the course develops but there are still places available so if you know anyone who may be interested, please contact Alain Deladiennee deladiennnee_alain@yahoo.com
