If you’re not familiar with Crew Class already – we’re a small team passionate about rowing. We’ve been running indoor rowing classes in the Royal Saint George Yacht Club for the past 5 years, teaching non-rowers how to row and the huge benefits of rowing. Our members are all really different, ranging from 20-somethings right up to 70+ year-olds and everything in between. We do have people who love the gym and use Crew Class to supplement their training, but most of our members probably wouldn’t describe themselves as gym enthusiasts, and come for various reasons, some want to lose weight, some want to get fit, and others needing low-impact training.
All Crew Class beginners go through our introduction programme as follows:
Learn to Row: We’ll teach the rowing stroke and how to train using the rowing machine.
Learn to Train: We’ll teach different types of sessions to build different aspects of fitness. We’ll show you how we use different stroke rates and different fan settings for strength. power, and cardio.
Learn to Progress: We’ll give you a clear understanding of the monitor. We’ll give you session goals so that you can start to get a real tangible sense of your progress
Classes are approx 40 minutes long and the timetable is as follows:
Tues: 6.00 & 7.00 am and 6.45 pm
Thurs: 6.00 & 7.00 am and 6.45 pm
Sat: 9.30 & 10.15 am
