Irish Sailing Race Officials Training weekend

On the weekend of March 23rd & 24th Irish Sailing will be hosting a Race Officials Training weekend. This weekend is for anyone who would like to get involved with sailing event management and is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to get started or to refresh and build their skills in Race Management.

We invite all Club members with an interest to get involved and attend this weekend. The main areas are as follows:

  • Race Officer,
  • Mark Layer,
  • Safety Leader,
  • Results Management and
  • Protest Committee. 

Time: 10.00 to 17.00 hours both days

 Cost: €60 covers both days (this cost includes a light lunch both days)

 Minimum age 16yrs.

 Any equipment necessary: Note taking materials and wet gear if attending the mark laying course.

 Please note:

  1. Attendees to the Local Mark Laying course will be required to prove they have a valid National Powerboat Certificate or equivalent in advance of the course.
  2. Attendees to the Results Manager or Protest Committee courses will attend both courses as they are both half-day courses.
  3. Your booking is not completed until we have received your booking payment.
  4. The course selection link will be sent to you closer to the date of the course.
